This is a fanlisting for the character of Katherine Bell on General Hospital, who was portrayed by Mary Beth Evans. Sadly the character is no longer on the show anymore, having been killed in 1999.
Katherine was the half-sister of Dominick Baldwin...who was married to Scott Baldwin. Katherine came onto the show as a con artis, manipulator, and gold digger who at first had said she was a childhood friend of her sister's. Her sister had already died by the time she showed up in town and Katherine set her sites on Scott Baldwin, who was vulnerable after his wife's death. But Katherine soon found that she was doing the one thing she never should of done...she fell in love with Scott. And when he found out the truth? He left her at the alter.
Katherine changed her con artist ways and soon found herself in a relationship with Mac Scorpio. But that was never to last. One night she was visiting her newfound friend, Nikolas Cassadine on the Cassadine estate when she was accidentally shot by Nikolas' uncle, Stefan. Stefan spent time with Katherine while she was in the hospital and from friendship came love. But alas, this wasn't to last for Ms. Bell either as she found out that Stefan was trying to make her into a replica of the woman he loved, Laura Spencer. Katherine argued with Laura on the night of her and Stefan's engagement party, the Bacchanalia Ball and when she stepped onto the parapet that was outside her room that night? She fell to what all of Port Charles believed to be her death. But...monts later it was discovered that the fall didn't kill her, rather Helena...Stefan's mother...saved her and took her away so that she could brainwash her. And when Katherine returned? She returned a woman scorned. She soon got the ultimate revenge on Stefan and Laura for what they had done to her by seducing Nikolas and making everyone believe she was pregnant. But Laura soon learned that Katherine couldn't have children and the night of Katherine and Nikolas's engagement? Katherine fell off the parapet again...this time the fall had killed her.
